Our Commitment to Fair Trade

We are committed to making ethically and environmentally sound decisions throughout our supply chain. Our suppliers are our long-term partners, on whom we rely for the care, consideration, and craft that’s required to produce great tea. We have been cultivating these relationships for more than 20 years, and our goal is to continue to grow these partnerships for decades to come.

Our support of fair trade practices is an integral element of the quality tea collections that we strive to deliver. We’ve partnered with Fair Trade USA to empower our growers to build strong, thriving communities. Funds from this program have already impacted communities across Asia and Africa, including:

• Fair Trade funds from our Organic Breakfast tea helped build a school on the Thiashola Estate in Nilgiri Hills India.
• Our Organic African Nectar tea, grown on the Oudam Farm in South Africa, helped fund day care and child education programs.
• The Jamuri Estate in Assam, India, built water tanks and a community hall with the funds from our Organic Coconut Assam tea.

We have made it a priority to expand our Fair-Trade Certified™ offerings and now have 5 Fair-Trade Certified™ teas
